Nicolas Bertoux

Born in 1952 in France, Nicolas Bertoux began his career as an interior architect before completely devoting himself to sculpture.

His main objective is to integrate artwork into the environment by relating to a given space, local culture, history and nature. He has created numerous monumental sculptures, especially in the field of public art. They can be found among others at the European Parliament of Strasbourg and in Taiwan at the Institute of Transportation.

Since 1995 he lives and works in Seravezza in Tuscany, where he and his wife Cynthia Sah, also a well-established artist, opened the ARTCO Studio in 1998 and created the ARKAD Foundation in 2002.
