Spumastella – Back to the swinging ‘40s!

Carla Baldini – vocals
Elena Bellini – vocals
Laura Pica – vocals
Paolo Batistini – guitar

SpumaStella presents «Back to the swinging ’40s» a dip into the rhythm of swing from the early 1900s arising from the non-alcoholic vocal music project based on sugar and aromatic herbs.
In the footsteps of the great vocal trios – Trio Lescano, The Andrews Sisters, The Boswell Sisters, The Chordettes – Carla, Elena and Laura reinterpret with a touch of irony some of the songs that marked three decades of Italian and American music, from the ’30s to the ’50s: from «Il pinguino innamorato» to «Maramao perché sei morto», from «Mr. Sandman» to «Java Jive».
The trio stands out for its blend of voices and well-finished arrangements, performed to the accompaniment of Paolo Batistini on guitar. A funny and outside the box performance: as soon as the three harmonious voices merge together with the touch of the guitar, you will feel as if you are in a smokey parlour at the beginning of the Twentieth Century, accompanied by the sound of a gramophone, for a journey back in time that will amaze and delight you.
