Jaya Schuerch
Jaya Schuerch was born in Santa Barbara, California, USA on March 19, 1958.
She grew up in California until 1972, when her family moved to Switzerland. After moving back to California in 1979 and living in Hawaii for some time, she returned to Europe in 1986 to pursue her dream of carving marble in Italy.
In 1988 Jaya had her first exhibition in California. Since then she has shown all over the world and her works can be found in private and public art collections in Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, England, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Africa and the US. Since 1988 she lives and works as a full time artist in Italy, where she opened her own studio in Pietrasanta in 2001. www.jayaschuerch.com
