Incommunicability

‘Incommunicability’ – Piero Giadrossi (Italy). Inside two original telephone booths from England are two mannequins, a man and a woman, telephoning, instead of opening the doors and talking to each other. The work is positioned on land owned by the Comune di Castelnuovo Berardenga opposite the Pieve di San Giovanni Battista in Pievasciata, now completely abandoned. It represents a negative effect of progress, where there is a tendency to communicate by telephone and computer instead of speaking face to face. Sponsor: District of Castelnuovo Berardenga
