VILLAGE OF CONTEMPORARY ART
WHO ARE WE AND WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Since 2012 the Cultural Association of the Friends of the Park has been able to give life to the Pievasciata BAC (Borgo of Contemporary Art) project thanks to the cooperation between the public, private citizens and businesses who have supported us since the beginning. Today the project boasts 13 art works by local & international artists displayed in the Borgo and the 4 roads leading to us. Together we managed to help some disused urban spaces regain their ancient charm but with a contemporary twist.
This, however, was just the beginning!
OUR FIRST CHALLENGE:
A small community has come together to create and experience art together, but we want to continue to grow together more and more.
This is why we launched the DONATE TO ART project! TOGETHER FOR PIEVASCIATA B.A.C.: A VILLAGE OF CONTEMPORARY ART
The proceeds of the fund raising will be used entirely for two important projects, namely
- We will give some care and attention to one of the first works installed in Pievasciata BAC ‘Incomunicabilita’. After almost 10 years during which these English phoneboxes have surprised everyone who passes by they need a little attention and conservation.
- we will acquire and install a new work on public land…

Artistic trekking for Pievasciata B.A.C. Saturday 23 September 2023 from 3.30 pm
Guided trekking to discover Pievasciata and its works among woods and vineyards.
INFO AND RESERVATIONS HERE
Walking along a road in the heart of Chianti, bordered by vineyards, olive groves and dry-stone walls, we find ourselves in Pievasciata, a small village where contemporary art has taken root. Two giant figures 6 meters high dressed in red peep out inside cypress trees, A glass fan with the colors of the earth and the sky enriches a breathtaking view.
